4330V Alloy Round Steel
AISI 4330V steel round bar is an American standard high-strength low-alloy steel containing 0.4% C, 0.8% Cr, 0.25% Mo and 1.8% Ni. With proper heat treatment, higher strength levels of 150 KSI 0.2% PS can be achieved. Typically used in preference to AISI 4140 at higher strength levels due to its better hardenability and improved CVN impact toughness
Due to availability, this grade is often replaced by European standards 817M40, EN24 and 1.6528 34CrNiMo6; similar but with a slightly lower nominal nickel content of 1.5% and a higher nominal chromium content of 1.3%.

4330V alloy round metal bar application
4330V round bar stock is a hardened and tempered high-strength alloy and vacuum arc remelted (VAR) rare material composed of nickel, chromium and molybdenum in a vacuum. 4330V is usually available in bar and plate form. It offers strength and high resistance to crack growth as well as excellent low temperature impact properties. Typical applications for 4330V are for high intensity, aerospace and generator defense. 4330V steel is mainly used in the petroleum industry for petroleum tools and drilling tool tanks. In the aerospace industry, 4330V is primarily used for bolted joints and air frames.
